Previous | Home | NextThis is the statue of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin (1870-1924), at a young age, when he was a student at Kazan for three months in 1887. He was expelled from this university for his political activities , but later became famous -- and now is idolized for studying at this university during his formative years. This statue is in front of the main universitiy building (northeastward view).
